Age 63, of Burton, Michigan passed away on June 2, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center, in Flint. To honor his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Timothy’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Timothy Bates was born on December 22, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant Michigan, the son of Stanley and Barbara (Tiedeman) Bates. Tim owned and operated Bates Cleaning for 38 years with his sister. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers, horseshoes with family and friends, classic cars, and Harley’s. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. He was selfless and always willing to help. Tim gave a lot, asked for little and touched the lives of many.

Surviving Timothy are his daughter, Tiffany, and husband, Mike Lafave, his five grandchildren; Matthew, Adalynn, Dorothy, Colton, and Collin, his two sisters; Tammy Bates, Tina, and husband, Chuck Tankersley, his two brothers; Tony, and wife, Lynn Bates, Tracy Bates, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Timothy was preceded in death by his Father; Stanely Bates, his Mother; Barb Bates, and his Sister; Terry Hulverson.
