Teresa Kay Scarberry
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Teresa Scarberry, age 62, of Davison, Michigan, who passed away on July 5, 2023.
Teresa Kay Scarberry was born on October 12, 1960, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Sarah (Justice) Gooslin. Teresa will be remembered for her kind heart, never hesitating to share what she had, help where she was needed, and always telling her loved ones how much they meant to her. Teresa doted on everyone she loved, but especially her granddaughter, Blake, and her dog, Sadie. Teresa’s creative spirit shone throughout her life. From crafts of all kinds, to hairstyling, to cardmaking, she looked for ways to spread joy and share her love with everyone around her.
Teresa is survived by her daughter, Makay (Brad) Weber; granddaughter, Blake Weber; siblings Peggy Lopez, Sherrie (Carl) Russell, Rena (Mike) Lucas, Joe (Michele) Gooslin and many nieces and nephews.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Fred; siblings Margie and Trent; stepson, Jeremy; and nephew, Jeremy.
In accordance with her wishes, no formal funeral proceedings will be held. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Teresa’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Teresa roomed with me on some of the trips we all took together. I enjoy her very much. She was loaded with fun,smiles and stories to be told. Teresa was always in our heart but didn’t get to see her to much because there were a lot of miles between us. She will still away be in are hearts and memories. God put us together in home economics in junior high. Teresa was fun loving, bubbly and we clicked. I had the pleasure of having her as my Maid of Honor at my wedding and we cheered each other on in life. Teresa always wanted to be helpful to those who needed assistance and was a Christian woman who loved her Lord. I have no doubt that she is already having a great time in Heaven, free of all her pain. She was loved by those who knew her and will be so missed!

I’ve known Teresa since high school,Flint Northern. We were in many classes and activity groups. She was a fun vivacious, happy person. A good friend and a great person.
Teresa is my best friend and I’ll miss her dearly.
