Ronald “Goose” Warren
MR. RONALD “GOOSE” WARREN made his earthly transition on September 30, 2024. He was 85-year-young. He was born April 28, 1939 in Flint, Michigan to Mrs. Mary Lou and Mr. Raymond Warren. He was a life-long resident of Flint, Michigan. He graduated from the old Flint Northern High School. His prowess on the iron grid, where he earned his nickname “goose,” helped Flint Northern go undefeated on the path to become state champions. On the iron grid is After graduating, he went to work for General Motors, where he for twelve years. He left General Motors to pursue his passion for acting. He graduated from an acting school in New York city. He performed in several off-Broadway theatrical plays, for example, The Hospital and Amen Corner. Moreover, he met Mr. Ossie Davis, who asked him to come and read for a part in the movie Gordan’s War. Ron accepted the role and signed the contract.
He married Juanita Mae Ballard. They had three children, Ronita Deshell Warren, Rhonda Marie Warren, and Ronald Keith Warren.
Ron was an avid reader and novelist and authored a novel, African Assassin-Gangster-Alienist Crux-vu-Lux Enigma. He also enjoyed playing chess, golf, and learning new skills e.g., German, Spanish, and martial arts.
Ron Warren is survived by son Ronald Keith Warren (Amye), grandchildren Isaiah Leavy, Leah Dunlap, Ahriah Bradley, grandsons Tony Hill, Julius Hill (Temeki), Courtney Warren, granddaughters Takiyah Hill, Erica Hill, nieces Kimmie Warren Taylor (Sandra), Mary Warren, great-grandkids A’Reese Hill, Sebastian Hill, Savannah Hill, Jaki Spicer, Jayden Spicer, Kedrick Bates, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Lou Warren, father Raymond Warren, wife Juanita Warren, daughters Ronita Warren and Rhonda Warren, mother-in-law Grace “Honey” Ballard, father-in-law Winston Ballard, aunt-in-law Celie Carter, uncle-in-law Edwin Carter, brother Kenneth Warren, sister-in-law Joan Warren, nephew Kenneth Warren II, and Kelly Warren.
