Age 68, of Flint, passed away on March 28, 2023. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date, with Mr. Mark Kingen to officiate. Richard Melvin Sargent was born on July 10, 1954, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Beverly (Clayton) Sargent. Richard graduated from Beecher High School as part of the 1972 class. He then spent his summer at Interlochen School for gifted musicians.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife; Marcia Kingen Sargent, his daughter; April (Ray) Rudoni, his two sons; Rick (Deanna) Davis, and Jordan Sargent, his special brother; Daniel (Brenda) Kingen, his special nephew; Mark Kingen, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his son; Joshua Sargent, his father; Richard Sargent, and his brother; Jay Sargent.
