Age 82, of Flint, passed away on May 17, 2024.  In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  He will be laid to rest on June 24, 2024 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.

Richard was born on June 19, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Helen (Johnson) Piechowski.

Known as “Bruce” to all his friends and family, he Proudly Served in the US Army from 1966-1968,  and Retired from General Motors V-8 Engine Plant as a skilled trades Machine repairman.

Bruce had a passion for classic cars. You could often find him at car shows in the area displaying  his 1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe,  or his 1947 Ford Rust Rod,  both of which, he skillfully and meticulously built from scratch.

Surviving Bruce is his beloved wife of 26 Years Mary A. Piechowski. Children: Todd (Lori) Piechowski, Shelley Piechowski, Gary Hogan(Kelly Murray), Allison Hogan (Justin Gerstenberger), Sara E. Hogan, Rayne Piechowski, Montrenae Piechowski, Saquita Piechowski, Dalaejah Piechowski, and Gabriel Piechowski. Grandchildren: Tyler (Juliana), Tristan, Kole Hogan , Jack,  and Ford.

Siblings: Martin (Marsha) Piechowski, Barbara (Phillip) Brown, Mark (Rose) Piechowski, Sister-in-Law Linda Piechowski.

Preceded in death by children Nolin Chang-Piechowski and Travis Krantz,  Brothers  David and Phillip Piechowski, and Parents Richard E. and Helen (Johnson) Piechowski.
