Age 75, of Fairview, passed away on January 13, 2024. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Detroit Cremation Society. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell, to officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Paulette’s family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Paulette Elaine Wood was born on December 19, 1948, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Alice (Lefler) Gorman. Paulette grew up in Flint on 5 acres. This is where her love for horses began. Her mother, Alice, began buying her horses at 16 years old. Paulette would go visit her horses at the stables at Pinewood Downs. This began her life of showing horses and she passed this love down to her children and grandchildren. Paulette spent most of her life in Montrose, Michigan with her mother. Living next door to her daughter and grandchildren. Here, she had many horses through the years and taught her grandchildren what she knew about riding and caring for horses. Paulette then made the move to Fairview, Michigan with her mother and this is where they both spent the remainder of their lives. Paulette was an amazing daughter, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Somebody you could go to with anything and she would help as much as she could. She was a very giving, loving person that will be truly missed. Paulette loved to have visitors and cook them the most amazing meals. She had a heart of gold and a love for god. Paulette had a bible on her bedside that she would read nightly and reflect. She is home with him now and her memory will live on in all that knew her.

Paulette is survived by her grandsons; Brandon Woosley & Christian Autry, her granddaughters; Halle Woosley & Amber Woosley, her son; Cary Autry, her great grandchildren; Luke, Theo, and Kolton, her son-in-law Richard Woosley, her three sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Paulette is preceded in death by her mother; Alice Oldfield, her father; Paul Gorman, her brother; Doug Gorman.
