Patti Kay Sweet was born on October 1, 1951, in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of Hollis and Maxine Oden. The family moved to Keego Harbor, Michigan in the 1950’s. Patti was a 1969 graduate of West Bloomfield High School. Patti met her husband, Mark, at Cunningham Drug Store in 1975, but didn’t start dating until 1977. They wed on September 25, 1987. Patti worked various part time jobs so she could focus on raising their children. Together, they were avid bowlers and golfers throughout the years. She also had an extensive golf hat collection because it’s not how well you play the game – it’s how well you are dressed. Patti also loved music, thrift stores, garage sales, puzzles (crossword and jigsaw) in her later years.
Patti is survived by her husband Mark of 36 years; together for 46 years; their children Brad and Lauren, son-in-law Andrew and grandson Hollis. Patti is also survived by her four-legged best friend, Pippi.
Patti is preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joyce Bowers, Angel Jolly and the staff at Anchored Heart for their loving care.
