Age 74, of Swartz Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, surrounded by her family at her mother’s home. During her four days in hospice care, her family was able to gather around her and celebrate her life, sharing love, memories, and special moments together. As she was escorted from the home, her family sang her favorite song, “The Little Drummer Boy,” in her honor.

Michele Rae Dolan was born August 19, 1952, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Bernard and Marjean (Dumas) Dolan.

Above all else, Michele loved her family. Some of her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She treasured the time she spent making memories with them and especially enjoyed camping in Ludington. Friday night euchre, sponsored by Strawberry Fields and held at her mother’s home with her sisters and aunt, was another favorite tradition.

Michele is survived by her daughters, Kendra DuBuc of Fenton and Tara Dew of Swartz Creek. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Madeline (Brandon) Olson of Grand Rapids, Evan (Megan) Dewald of Durand, Gray (Zach) Dewald of Clio, Liberty Dew, Tragen Dew, Trinity Dew, Jonah Dew, Zane Alden, and Wesley Alden, along with her great-grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly.

She is also survived by her siblings, Kathy Dolan, Julie French, Lora (Tom) Birge, and William (Sheryl Burt) Dolan, her Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob Jones, as well as her nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for very much.

Michele was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamra Alden; her father, Bernard Dolan; her brothers, Michael Dolan and Daniel Dolan; and her nephew, Patrick Dolan.

Michele’s family will honor her memory with a celebration of life gathering rather than a traditional funeral. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated.

Those who knew Michele will remember her for the love she had for her family, the care she gave to others, and the memories she created with the people she loved. Her greatest legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many lives she touched throughout her years as a nurse, mother, grandmother, and friend.
