Mason Thomas Farris, born April 22, 2013, in Commerce Township, Michigan, passed away tragically on October 9, 2025, in Howell, Michigan. He was an energetic and inquisitive 12-year-old with an innocent soul and a heart full of love and joy.

He had the biggest, brightest smile and touched the lives of those around him. Mason loved Elmo, nursery rhymes, and watching cooking shows on YouTube. He rocked out to the One Direction song “That’s What Makes You Beautiful” and cherished time spent outdoors, taking in the beauty of the world around him.

Mason is survived by his mother, Patricia Farris, and his father, Ken Mahrle. He will be deeply missed by family and friends who were privileged to know his warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit.

Mason’s memory will live on in the laughter he sparked and the love he shared.

Mason was preceded in death by his grandmother Robin Kesner, grandfather William Caperton, great-grandma Evelyn Wesley, adopted grandfather Samuel Farris and Grandmother Patricia Bentley.

Mason had many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.
