Maryann Stella Husken


In loving memory of Maryann Stella Husken, aged 83, who peacefully passed away on November 20th, 2023. Maryann was born on August 26, 1940, in Detroit Michigan, the daughter of John and Florence (Moran) Jurczak. Maryann was a remarkable Sales Manager and entrepreneur whose dedication and passion for her work left an indelible mark on those she encountered.

Beyond her professional achievements, Maryann cherished the simple joys of life. Her love for fishing was a testament to her appreciation for nature’s tranquility, finding solace and joy amidst the waters. However, her true source of happiness resided in the warmth of family.

Maryann was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a cherished presence in the lives of her loved ones. She was preceeded in death by her brother John (Butch) Jurczak and is survived by her sister Kathleen (Jurczak) Abate. While her sons William and Billy preceded her in death, her legacy lives on through her daughters Suzanne (Dan) Mein , Kathleen Cook, and her son Michael (Michelle) Husken. Maryan had eight grandchildren (Jillian, Victoria, Billie, Anthony, Danielle, Cody, Caitlyn, and Jordan). Maryann had seven great-grandchildren (Alivia, Chelsea, Autumn, Willow, Rory, Kayson, and Asa). Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love will forever echo through the lives she touched.

Maryann’s legacy extends far beyond her professional endeavors. Her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family will remain eternally cherished and remembered.

In honoring Maryann’s life, let us celebrate her profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will forever inspire us to embrace life’s simple pleasures and hold dear the bonds of family.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Maryann’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

    I remember going to visit her when we were little, and always enjoyed those times woth relatives. My condolences and love to the family.
