Martha Marie Weaver


Age 75, of Grand Blanc, died Thursday, September 30, 2021, at home with her family by her side. In accordance with Martha’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 4, 2021, at St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Grand Blanc. Rev. Father Jerry Lasley will officiate. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to St. Christopher Episcopal Church or Gift of Life Michigan. Envelopes are available at the church. Martha “Marti” was born in Jackson, Michigan on May 15, 1946, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe and Helen (Graver) Krall. Raised and educated in Brooklyn, Marti graduated from Columbia Central High School with the Class of 1964. Continuing her education, Marti went on to pursue her Associates Degree in Social Services at Michigan State University. Marti worked as a social worker for the State of Michigan for 30 years until her retirement in 2001. In her younger years, Marti enjoyed family get togethers during the holidays. Marti met, fell in love with and married Nelson “Ed” Weaver on Oct. 17, 1972. Marti and Ed had a mutual love for their dogs, they attended and participated in many Dog Show Competitions with their Boston Terriers. She was a long-time member of St. Christopher Episcopal Church. Marti was very active in her church and with the members, she touched the lives of so many. Marti will be forever missed by those who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are special cousin: Sandy Newton; very special family member: Hunter Armstrong; beloved dog: Keagan; close friend: Judy Stoerman; and many other relatives and friends.

Marti was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents; and beloved dog: Stormy.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the extensive love from caregivers: Eddie Green; Tom and, Carol Cerny; neighbors: Ken and, Katie Paterson.
