Lucile Stephenson

Lucile Stephenson. She left us on May 5, 2024. Lucile was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Lucile touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.

Lucile was born in Midland, Michigan, on September 12, 1930, as the third oldest of nine siblings to parents Ruth (Robison) Brown and Neil Brown. She married Floyd Stephenson on June 7, 1952, and they were married until Floyd’s passing on October 4, 2000.

Lucile is survived by her daughters Carol Thering, Janet Stephenson, and Nancy Pardee, brother Paul Brown, sister-in-law Judy Brown, brother-in-law Ted Asch, brother-in-law Dean Morris, grandchildren Joanna Brecht, Jason Thering (Meribeth), Danielle Stephenson, Alicia Schultz(Tyler Paulson), and Andrew (Melissa) Schultz, and great-grandchildren Blake, Mason, Madelyn, Carson, Liam, Aggie, Lucy, Livia, Luna, Savanah, and Marlena as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Neil Brown, husband Floyd Stephenson, siblings Jim (Ada) Brown, Dorothy (Bud) Carpenter, Dan (Sally) Brown, Jean (Howard) Hanners, Ida (Dave) Young, Janice Asch, and Lynda Morris, and great-grandson Gage Thering.

Lucile enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Caseville, going to garage sales, dining out, and listening to her great-grandson Carson sing to her. A celebration of life for Ruth will be held on June 8th at her niece Kim’s house. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family. Rest in peace, Lucile. You will be greatly missed.
