Lori Ann Westcott

Lori Ann Westcott, 61, of Goodrich, Michigan. passed away peacefully on November 14, 2023, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Lori grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, a locale she loved and held in many wonderful memories. The western mountains provided the inspiration for the path she walked to become a strong and wonderful woman. Lori worked as a para-educator for many years. She was very passionate about helping those who needed extra compassion and assistance. Lori loved a good adventure traveling, RV camping, going on cruises and shopping with her family and friends. She enjoyed GWRRA for many years with her husband, Randy of 31 years. Lori will be dearly missed and always remembered as a loving wife and wonderful mother. She had a bright socializing personality and was always happy to be a great listener for the concerns of anyone she met, whether old or new friends.
Lori Ann Westcott is survived by her husband, Randall Westcott, her daughters Amanda Beckman (Karen Beckman), Candace Shura (Christopher Shura), grandchildren Alecia Beckman, Derek Beckman, Annabella Shura, Pierce Shura. Her parents John and Sheryl Grace and siblings Tami Connolly and John Grace III, along with many other family members and close friends.
Lori requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services.

I really got to know Lori the last 2 years she worked at OVMS as a para-educator. We shared many laughs with others during our work & out of work as well. She called me the night of hurricane Ian to make sure my family was safe. She truly cared about her family & friends. I will miss her greatly. Prayers & hugs to Randy & her family.

Being Lori’s next door neighbor, we were able to share lots of ‘girl’ talk and always have that extra egg or stick of butter one of us would need! Lori was great with my dogs. We would always be there for each other to make sure each dog family was able to get out and eat! Love you, my friend…..will always keep you in my heart and memory.

On behalf of Lori’s graduating class, I would like to offer our deepest condolences. Kearns was a pretty small town, so growing up, by the time we reached high school, many of us had known each other for years and years so we developed a tight-knit bond. Lori was always one of those girls who, whether you were her best friend or an acquaintance, made you feel as if you were the most important person in the room.
