Loleita (Lee) Rose Winans was born on July 15, 1949, in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Juanita (McGeathy) McLain. She was born a fighter and fought to the end. She attended Michigan School for the Blind where she made many lifelong friends. Lee was very active in many organizations bettering the lives of those with visual impairments. Lee was fiercely independent and could do anything a sighted person could do (except drive – she was still waiting on self-driving cars). She loved her husband of 51 ½ years and her family immensely. She was a loving mother, and a fun grandma who always played games with the grandkids (Grandma Lee rules apply, of course). Lee was very proud of her Catholic faith, but above all Lee was a good, wholesome, honest, and loving person.

Surviving Loleita are her husband, Donald “Lucky” Winans Jr., her children Donald (Jenna), Sherry (Rich), Jason, Jamie (Tony), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
