With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lloyd Henry Smith and Sandra Lee Smith. Lloyd passed away on July 16, 2026, just over a year after the love of his life, Sandra, who passed on June 12, 2025. Though they departed this world at different times, their hearts were never far apart. After sharing 63 wonderful years of marriage, we find comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.

Together, Lloyd and Sandra built a life centered on family, hard work, and unconditional love. Their home was a place where everyone was welcomed, meals were shared, laughter was abundant, and memories were made that will last for generations.

Sandra found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading and made countless trips to the library in search of her next favorite book. She enjoyed painting and expressing her creativity, but perhaps what she loved most was caring for her family. She took great pride in maintaining a warm and welcoming home and was known for preparing delicious home cooked meals and baked goods that brought everyone together around the table.

Lloyd was a hardworking man whose dedication to his family was evident throughout his life. A farmer by trade, he was never afraid of hard work and often took on odd jobs to provide for those he loved. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, especially a spirited game of Rummy, and spent many years playing men’s softball. He was also a devoted St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and could often be found cheering on his favorite team.

Above all else, Lloyd and Sandra treasured their family. Their greatest accomplishments were the lives they built together and the love they shared with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.

They leave behind to cherish their memories their five sons, Jeff (Darlene), Greg (Saundra), Rod, Brad (Michele), and Lloyd Jr.; their five grandsons, Kevin, TJ, Rod Jr., Brandon, and Cyrus; two granddaughters, Shelby and Savannah;  and they were also blessed with one great grandchild, Alicen.

Lloyd is also survived by his twin brothers, Leonard and Leon Smith; and his nieces, Ramona and Phyllis.

Sandra is survived by her sisters, Jean (Bob Day), Marilyn Hudson, and Donna (Alan) Bourey; and her brother, Steve (Theresa) Canada. She also shared a special bond with her beloved nieces, Alisha, and Laurie, who held a special place in her heart.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Simon Elmer Smith and Elizabeth Smith; his brothers, Harold Smith and Jay Smith; and his sisters, Virginia Smith, Lois Compton, and Wilma Adair.

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Virgie Lee Lowe; her stepfather, William “Tuffy” Lowe; and her brothers, Charles Canada, Clayton “Butch” Canada, Mike Canada, John Lowe, and Bill Lowe.

Lloyd and Sandra’s legacy lives on in the family they loved so deeply, the values they instilled, and the countless memories shared by those fortunate enough to know them. While their absence leaves an immeasurable void, their love will continue to guide and inspire those they leave behind.

They will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
