Laura Abigail Ameser


Age 52, of Flushing, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2023. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Laura’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Laura Abigail Ameser was born on February 4th, 1971, the daughter of Diane (Colson) Payne and John Payne (deceased) in Beaumont, Texas. She loved her grandchildren Jake & Gage Moore as she was known to them as LaLa. Laura enjoyed gardening, crafting, reality TV, and Friday nights at the fire pit with wonderful neighbors. Laura loved keeping in touch with her close friends through social media and you all know who you are. Laura had a 20-year professional career serving the technology industry as an operations manager. Her next work goal was to use her special talents to refinish furniture for resale.

Laura is survived by her husband Tim Ameser. Her son Aaron Sowell and wife Mary Kate, daughter Amy Moore and husband Corey, grandchildren Jake and Gage Moore, mother-in-law Sharon Ameser and SO Charles Robinson, brother Grant Payne and brother-in-law Stephen Ameser and wife Tina.

    Tim- so very sorry to hear of Laura’s passing and for your loss. I worked closely with Laura when she worked at Siemens. I have often times thought about her and hoped she was doing well. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family for peace and comfort.
