Age 68, of Waterford, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Kimberly’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Kimberly was born on February 14, 1957 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Lawrence and Ulla (Sautter) Hettinger. Kim attended Pontiac Public Schools, Pontiac Catholic High School, Wayne State University and Pontiac Business Institute. Kim worked as a secretary in the medical industry her whole career – ending her career as an Executive Security for the Vice President of Amicare – Mercy Health Services Home Care Agency at the time.

Left to cherish her memory are her spouse, MaryAnn Northcote, and her sister, Karen Hettinger – as well as many precious family and friends.

Kim and MaryAnn were members of Metropolitan Community Church of Detroit and Divine Peace Metropolitan Community Church. Kim and MaryAnn were married at Metropolitan Community Church of Detroit in 1981 and then married legally when it became legal for them in Michigan. Kim and MaryAnn were together for 46 years.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence D. Hettinger, and her mother, Ulla Elisabeth (Sautter) Hettinger.

Kim fought a brave fight against Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 7, but in the end the disease took her from us. Kim will be missed by all who knew her.
