Kim Marie Thrower

Age 69, of Davison, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Kim’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Kim was born on October 16, 1956, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Rufus and Kathleen (Dukes) Morrison. Kim lived life with joy, warmth, and a free spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She found her happiest moments near the water, especially at Fort Myers Beach, Florida, where the sunshine and ocean brought her peace. At home, she took great pride in her flowers and yard, nurturing them with the same care she showed to those she loved.

Music and dancing were among Kim’s greatest pleasures, and she never missed a chance to enjoy a good meal and friendly faces—especially during her almost daily visits to Gillie’s. Above all else, Kim deeply loved and cherished her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Bill; her children, Shawn and Melissa; her sister, Kathy; her brother, Mike; and her treasured grandchildren, Chandler, Bella, and Ayden.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Kathleen Morrison, and her sisters, Vickie and Terry.

Kim will be remembered for her loving heart, vibrant spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
