Kathleen Ann Bombetto
Kathleen Ann Bombetto, age 76, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 11th, after a long and courageous battle with dementia.
She was born on July 12, 1948, in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late James and Pauline (Faucher) Murphy. Kathy dedicated over fifty years of her life to nursing, working as a staff nurse at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, and later at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, before retiring in 2019.
Kathy was an avid reader and loved yoga, traveling, knitting, sewing, and baking — but most of all, she loved to dance. She was a very kind person with a warm heart.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jack; her daughter, Carla Sarti (Paolo) of Washington, MI; and her son, John Bombetto (Melissa) of Sterling Heights, MI. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Gabriella and Dominic Sarti, and Brooklyn and Brianna Bombetto.
Kathy is also survived by her sister, Nancy (Bill) Butryman of Chelsea, Vermont; her brother, Kevin (Julie) Murphy of Windsor, Connecticut; and her sister-in-law, Madeline (Ben) Bombetto of West Hartford, Connecticut. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her three brothers — James, Dennis, and Michael — whom she loved dearly.
Kathy will be forever remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, quick smile, and unconditional love as a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

We had known Kathy for several years ever since we moved here. Kathy loved riding her bike or going for a walk and she would always stop by the house to say hello. We will always remember the good times we had with her playing euchre, going out for breakfast and dinner and sitting at the pool just talking. She will be missed but she is now with God. Our thoughts and prayer’s are with Jack and family.
Jack, I send my heartfelt condolences to you & all of Kathy’s loved ones. Kathy was a sweet friendly neighbor to visit with. I always found her to be a positive lady. She rode her bike & walked our neighborhood enjoying the fresh air & visiting with folks along the way. Rest in peace my friend.
