Julie Lynne Dudzik

Julie Lynne Dudzik, age 77, of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Julie’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Julie was born on October 24, 1947, in San Diego, California, to Keith and Patricia (Davis) Stewart. She grew up in Michigan and graduated from Davison High School in 1965 before attending the University of Michigan-Flint. She later worked as an assistant manager at the Piece Goods Shop, where she shared her passion for sewing and crafts with many.

Julie had a deep and lifelong love for animals, filling her home with an ever-changing variety of pets that she and her children adored. Some of her happiest moments were spent visiting zoos and aquariums, marveling at the beauty of wildlife. Despite not being able to swim, she bravely took the opportunity to swim with manatees—an experience that perfectly reflected her adventurous and determined spirit.

A talented and creative soul, Julie found joy in scrapbooking, crafts, and sewing, always bringing her artistic touch to everything she did. However, her greatest passion in life was her family. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her two children and was a second mother to many of their friends and neighborhood kids, providing love, support, and a welcoming home.

Julie faced numerous hardships throughout her life, but she remained courageous, meeting every challenge with love and kindness. Those who knew her never saw anything but her warmth, generosity, and unwavering strength.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Dudzik, son Jeff (Edyta) Dudzik, daughter Stephanie Gorton, grandson Zach (Abigail) Dudzik, sister, Susan (Barry) Shifflett.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, June Stewart; and her parents-in-law, Ed and Viola Dudzik.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
