John Yahr, age 75, of Flint, Michigan passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on John’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

John Charles Yahr was born on May 14, 1950 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford and Marguerite (Wise) Yahr. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1968. He attended Ferris State University before working at General Motors where he retired in 2006. He married Geralyn Pitock in 1980 and they had four children.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Joseph (Leonie Pilon) Yahr, and Wendy Yahr; sister Judith Bailey; many nieces and nephews; and friends.

John was preceded in death by children Jason Yahr, Alicia Yahr; father Wilford (Bill) Yahr, and mother Marguerite Yahr.

A memorial luncheon will take place 1:00-4:00PM Saturday November 15, 2025.
