Age 62, of Mt. Morris, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12pm noon on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Roma Banquet Center, 5226 Saginaw Street, Flint, Michigan. Jay was born on January 19, 1964, in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald and Elizabeth (Gibson) Wilcox Sr. Jay grew up in Mt. Morris, graduating from the Mt. Morris school district. He worked many different trade jobs, utilizing his skills in any way he could. Whether it was working on cars, homes, construction, he was a jack of all trades and could find a way to fix almost anything. He was blessed with three daughters that he would raise more like sons, but he cherished them deeply all the same. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR.

Left to cherish his memory is his significant other, Rhonda Myers; his daughters: Krystal Wilcox and fiancé, Jeremie Hawley, Kimberly Ford and husband, Markell, and Tomilynn Wilcox; his five granddaughters; four grandsons; one great-grandson; as well as many cherished friends.

Jay was preceded in passing by his parents, Don and Betty Wilcox; his brother, Donald Wilcox Jr., and his lifelong friend, Roy Lucas.
