Jerry Raymond Welsh


Jerry Welsh, age 64, of Burton, passed away on January 4, 2024. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Jerry’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Jerry Raymond Welsh was born on May 13, 1959, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond and Beverly (Burley) Welsh. He was a proud Detroit Lions, Tigers, and UofM fan. Jerry enjoyed camping, grilling, working in the yard while playing with his dogs, listening to classic rock, and enjoying a nice cold Bud Light.

Surviving Jerry are his father; Raymond Welsh, his two brothers; Jim Welsh (Janice Johnson), Gary (Robin) Welsh, his four sisters; Shirley Szabo, Sharon (Mike) Kolodynski, Susan Welsh (Jim Beaubien), Kathi (Chris) Schollar. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Brian Welsh, Tammy Welsh, Melissa Kochenderfer, Kristina Kochenderfer, Jim Welsh II, Courtney (Boyd) Wolff, Danielle (Carson) Szabreath, Violet Miller, Jourdan Miller, Jasmine Miller, Katie Beaubien, Sydney Beaubien, Riley McQueary, and Blake McQueary, Andrew Welsh, Denae Welsh, as well as many great nieces, great nephews, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Jerry is preceded in death by his mother; Beverly Welsh, sister Virginia Kochenderfer, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
