Harvey Allen Case was born on January 4, 1945, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall and Winifred (Brooks) Case. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many, he will be greatly missed. Harvey retired from General Motors (Buick) in 1996 after 31 years of UAW 599 service. He loved Bluegrass music, playing the banjo and performing in several groups with dear friends throughout the years. He also enjoyed traveling to drag strips around Michigan to see top fuel funny cars and dragsters with friends. His devotion to his grandchildren was his greatest and most loved accomplishment of all.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Bonnie, of 59 years, children Angie (Andrew) Brandt of Montrose, Mike (Kennetha) Case of Saginaw, granddaughters Brittany (Aaron), Kailee (Dominic) and grandson Bowie, great grandchildren Violet and Alex, brothers Roger (Elaine) and Marshall “Pete” Case.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Willow, eldest brother Don, and sisters-in-law Beverly and Donna Case.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Gentiva Hospice for all of their care and kindness, allowing Harvey to remain at home until the end.
