George Ernest Meyer III, born November 8th, 1947, passed away on February 8th, 2025, in Grand Blanc, Michigan. George was born in Midland, Michigan, the son of the late George Ernest Meyer and Emma Gene Arnold.

George is predeceased by his parents, George & Emma Meyer, his second wife, Debi Meyer, brother Bill Meyer, nephew Travis Martyn, and brother-in-law Ron Martyn. He is survived by his beloved partner of 11 years, Rene Jacob, his first wife, Patricia Meyer, the mother of his children, daughter Allison Meyer, sons Matthew and Nathan Meyer, sister Janet Martyn, brothers Denny and Patrick Meyer, sister-in-law Josie Meyer, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

George, a life-long Spartan, graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in animal husbandry and spent many years working as a pig and dairy farmer. He was a jack-of-all-trades and also worked in construction, maintenance, woodworking, and proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He found great joy in building and playing his guitars, working in his woodshop, listening to every genre of music, riding motorcycles, and spending his time with Rene and their dog Dixie and cat Molly. He was loved by his family and friends immensely.

A celebration of life will be held in the coming months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the immediate family.
