Gayle Lynn Ash


Age 68, of Grand Blanc, passed away on October 14, 2024. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Gayle’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Cornerstone Church at 208 W Oliver St, Owosso, Michigan 48867, at 2:00pm.

Gayle Lynn Ash was born on September 20, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee and Marilyn (Karaschin) Harding. Gayle spent her childhood between Detroit, MI and Milan, MI.  She later graduated from Cody High School in Detroit.  Gayle was blessed with 4 daughters and had many adventures in life that led her to other states, crossing paths with many wonderful people along the way.  In 1989, she decided to move her family from Kentucky and return to her home state of Michigan. Gayle found a home in Owosso, MI and decided to raise her 4 daughters in this small community.  Even after her daughters had grown to adulthood, Gayle continued to live in Owosso nearby her sister Cindy and grandchildren for many years dedicating her retired days to God, family, and church friends. Gayle was a committed and active member of Cornerstone Church in Owosso where she worked as the church secretary for many years,  using this opportunity to minister to the members of Cornerstone and the community she lived in about the goodness of our Lord and Savior. Gayle added a richness and a hunger for knowledge to the life of the people that loved her and she will be deeply missed by many.

Surviving Gayle are her daughters; Jennifer Rodriguez, Rebecca Norris, and Sarah Bays. Sister Cynthia Moore (Michael Moore). Sister Lori Kennedy.  14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Many friends that love her very much.

Gayle is preceded in death by her daughter Tiffany Smith, father Lee Harding and mother Marilyn Kennedy. Stepfather Robert Kennedy. Great grandmother Anne Harding and Uncle David Harding.
