Elizabeth J. “Betty” (O’Hearn) Eickhoff


Age 95, of Millington, passed away on March 2, 2025 at Brookdale Assisted Living of Grand Blanc.

Betty was born on January 3, 1930 in Flint, Michigan, to the late Leo O’Hearn and Gertrude (Ueber) O’Hearn. She graduated from Hoover High School in 1948. She married Devaun (Ike) Eickhoff on January 15, 1949.

Betty stayed home raising their 4 children. They purchased 20 acres in Millington where they raised their last daughter and were there for over 50 years. They purchased a winter place in Florida and went there for the winter for 15 years. She enjoyed golf, traveling, reading, growing plants and flowers and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church for many years.

Surviving are her 4 children: Pamela Woodbury of Birch Run, Mark (Beverly) Eickhoff, Grand Blanc, Tyrus (Terri) Eickhoff, Beaverton and Lori (Ricky) Reinert, Millington. Grandchildren Angela Handy, Jeffrey Woodbury, Aaron Woodbury, Chad Eickhoff, Ty Eickhoff, Michael Smith, Danielle Paul, Dan Eickhoff, Aaron Eickhoff, Jason Stewart, Matthew Stewart and Eric Stewart. 31 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Sisters: Nellie Potts, Beverly Jones and Evelyn Giles.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Rosie O’Hearn, Francis O’Hearn, Leo O’Hearn, Leona Good and Oris McNiel Jr. and her son in law Leroy Woodbury.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers Missy, Beth, Dawnita, Corrie and Hailey, the staff at Brookdale and especially Dr. Braver and her Hospice Care team. The family will be having a memorial service at Ekklesia Church of Grand Blanc, 2353 E. Grand Blanc
Rd. at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025.
