We were all saddened to hear of Diane’s passing. She was the rock star of our bridge club. She was a proficient player, but she was never daunted by our chatter and lack of concentration. We miss her!

I really am going to miss her. One of the best ever persons I have known. Great wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and community member. Wonderful to sit and talk with. The Elsie community has suffered a great loss. Heaven has gained.
No words can express my feeling of loss for my long time, dear friend, Diane. Kindergarten through…old age! So many memories, so many long phone chats. She was an angel caring for her Mom, Joe and Brian. Her suffering is over and her friendship, love for her family will be remembered and appreciated forever. RIP, Diane.
Great loss for all her family, Friends and classmates.
I haven’t seen Diane in years, but she has always been in my memories! I only attended Elsie High School in my Kdg -2nd grades; then Ninth and Tenth grades, but 90% of those last two years, made up the best times I ever had in a school setting. Because I moved so much, the remaining grades are just a blur; however, the few friends I made in Elsie became lifetime “high school pals!! I regret I didn’t see Diane as often as I could/should have, but like so many things in our lives, we put it off, and then it’s too late!!! My heartfelt condolences go to Cristin and Kevin – Dorothy Bakita kept me up-to-date of Diane’s condition. I hope that Cristin and Kevin will forgive me, but know your Mom was in my prayers – I hope that in some way you felt those prayers!
This was a terrible time in your lives – to see your Mom suffer in frustration as she lost her sight and then her hearing. I can’t even wrap my mind around the fact that she was ultimately alone in her memories, and the touch of her family’s hands on her, the kisses and the hugs! I will always have fond memories of my dear high school friend! I have a class photo that I will try to get to Dorothy, and then she can forward to you.
May God Bless you and give you strength and understanding in the days, weeks and months ahead. Someday, if it is ever possible, I would like to meet the two of you!
Carolyn
