Dennis Leonard Piotrowski
Age 85, of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 16, 2026. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Dennis’ tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.
Dennis Leonard Piotrowski was born in Flint, Michigan on September 21,1940, the son of Joseph Piotrowski and Katherine (Pleadwell) Piotrowski. Dennis was a 1958 graduate of Holy Redeemer Catholic School where he played football and basketball. He went on to get a BBA from University of Michigan. Dennis married his wife and partner of 56 years, Cynthia (Carpenter) Piotrowski, on March 13, 1970. He was also a Journeyman Machinist at AC Spark Plug before joining his father in laws company, JB Carpenter and Assoc., as a salesman Dennis loved playing golf, playing hockey for many years in the Over 40 leagues and spending time at the Higgins Lake cottage
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cynthia (Carpenter) Piotrowski; his sons, Jeff (Tina) Piotrowski of Traverse City, Derek (Lin) Piotrowski of Grand Blanc, and David Piotrowski of Grand Blanc; his grandchildren, Kristi (Brad) Bocko of Florida, Anna (Jazel) Gabriel of Illinois, Luke Piotrowski of New York, Aliyah Piotrowski of Grand Blanc; his great grandchildren, Lilly and Isla; and many extended family, nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Joseph; his mother Katherine; his sister, Sharon Kilbury; his mother in-law, Doris Carpenter; his father in-law, John Carpenter; his sister in-law, Janice Carpenter; his brother in-law, Scott Carpenter; and his beloved Meredith Lynn Carpenter Cheney.
A very special THANK YOU to the nurses and support staff at Regency Rehab in Grand Blanc and McLaren Hospice for their wonderful care of Denny. A memorial service will take place at a later date. If desired, donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and American Cancer Society of America.
