Dale A. Traweek, Age 65, of Grand Blanc, passed away on October 22, 2022. To honor his wishes, burial will occur on 11/12/22 at Sunset Funeral Home in Northport, Alabama. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Dale’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Dale Allen Traweek was born on August 9, 1957, in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert and Betty Lois (Swindle) Traweek. He graduated from Pontiac Northern High School and was a proud GM retiree. Dale had a passion for and an encyclopedic knowledge of American classic automobiles. He shared his appreciation and eclectic taste in music with many in his family. He treasured spending time with his grandchildren, having endless patience for imaginative play, silly stories, coloring, drawing and puzzle books. Known for his quick wit and as a purveyor of “dad jokes” Dale loved to make people smile. Throughout his life, he faced every adversity and challenge with heart and humor, even in his last moments. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving Dale are his daughter; Tonya Drew (Thomas) of Grand Blanc, MI, sisters; Peggy Ashely (John) of Summertown, TN, and Betty Pearson (Kirk) of Moundville, AL, grandchildren; Jazmine Holm (Darren) of Salida CO, Jaxon and Jessica Drew of Grand Blanc, MI, great-grandchild Autumn Holm of Salida, CO, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his son, Mathew A. Traweek of Grand Blanc, MI, and parents Albert and Betty Lois Traweek of Northport, AL.
