Age 36, of Clio, Michigan, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at his home unexpectedly due to medical complications.

He was born September 16, 1987, in Miami Florida. The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Roger and Frances (DeNooijer) Mellor. Christopher, better known as Chris, was the fourth and last child of John Roger and Frances.

Chris will be remembered by his family as free spirited and rambunctious. From early in his life, until the very end, Chris was always making others laugh and protecting his loved ones. Chris spent his childhood and teen years growing up in Flint, Michigan, where he met many friends whom he kept in contact with despite moving to Miami, Florida, to live out the majority of the rest of his life. His last job, before medical conditions forced him to stop working, was a tow truck driver, which he loved doing.

Christopher was a very tender hearted man, who left his nieces and nephews with happy memories of him playing with them and planning surprise trips for them. He often tried to improve his culinary skills with his siblings. He loved driving around with the radio all the way up, jamming out to his favorite songs. He was a strong willed individual, who never backed down from an obstacle or challenge. Christopher faced many hardships throughout his short life, yet he never stopped pushing through them and striving to see the brighter things in life. He was dearly loved and he will be greatly missed and grieved for years to come.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Faith, his sister Nickole (Don Shipman) Mellor, her 5 children James, Ashley, Joseph, Logan and Chiann, his sister Melissa Mellor, her 4 children Savannah Marie, McKayla, Alexandria and Tyler, his brother John Roger (Denise) Mellor Jr., their 3 children McKenzie, Anastasia, and Savannah Margret, his brother Danny (Deon Mertz)Sipple Jr, their 5 children Alaska, Alexander, Harper, Memphis, and Legend, his great nieces and nephews Abigail Anderson, Matthew Andrews and Aurora Scott. Chris is also survived by a plethora of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances of Flint, MI, his paternal grandparents Merlin and Darlene (Fillbach) Mellor of Platteville, WI, his maternal grandparents Blaas and Rita DeNooijer of Beecher, MI, his aunts Alice and Wilma DeNooijer.
