Chris Ann Bailey

Chris Ann Bailey, of Holly, Michigan. went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 22, 2024.

Chris was born June 8, 1961, to Raycine Sr. and Ila Barber. She was a beautiful woman who shared her love of cooking with everyone she knew. She always cooked more than she needed just so she could share if she had the chance. She was known for her taco salad, biscuits and gravy, Christmas sugar cookies and her chocolate chip cookies. She loved hunting for morel mushrooms but never shared her secret mushroom hunting spots with anyone…except her son. She enjoyed camping and fishing and had the most beautiful gardens of anyone you knew.  She loved nothing more than a good prank and the opportunity to laugh until she cried.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends!  There was nothing more precious to her than her family, especially her grandchildren.  If you knew Chris well, then you knew that she gave the absolute best hugs! They were the kind of hugs that were deeply rooted in her soul, hugs that came from a well of love so deep that you thought you would just burst when she hugged you!

She is preceded in death by her parents Raycine and Ila Barber and her Nephew, Jayeson Fougner, great nieces Tahlleea Barron and Loghan Barber.

She is survived by her two children: Bret (Darla) Bailey and Nicole (Kyle) Johnson, sister, Mary (Marc) Fougner and brother, Raycine, Jr. (Dorothy) Barber, her grandchildren: Sammi Sue, Ella, Evan and Cam and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.

Chris Ann’s obituary was written by her loving family.
