She was born on June 24, 1937 in Pontiac, Michigan, firstborn daughter of the late Jesse and Evelyn Simmons. Charlene is survived by her three sons, Daniel Rollman, Stephen Rollman and Christopher Rollman (father the late Richard Rollman) all of whom take comfort in knowing that their beloved mother is now living eternally in the arms of Jesus and celebrating with indescribable joy having been reunited with all of her family and friends who have passed before her.

Charlene is also survived by her two younger sisters – Beverly (Stone) of Weatherford, Texas and Carol (Tabor) of Shawnee, Oklahoma, two grandchildren- Ashley and Michael Rollman (mother Andrea wife of Stephen), and many extended family, friends and neighbors who knew and loved her dearly.

Affectionately known as ‘Gramma Char’ in recent years, Charlene grew up in Waterford, MI and graduated from Waterford Township High School in 1956. Her association and devotion to the local church, at the time Sunnyvale Chapel, is undoubtedly how she came to know and love so many people in the community but most importantly her savior Jesus Christ. Her welcoming kindness and generous spirit will be greatly missed, only to be preserved by our memories of her until we see her again at her new home in heaven.
