Catherine Keys
Age 76, of Flint, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Catherine’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com
Catherine Keys was born on March 9, 1950, in Shreveport, Louisiana, the daughter of Mr. Perkins Hodge and Mrs. Vivian Dykes. She attended Northern High School in Flint, Michigan graduating in 1969. Catherine was a loving and giving person, with a energetic spirit, and a heart of gold. She was always willing to help those in need or lend a helping hand. She enjoyed going to church, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her friends and family. She was always a hard worker, working both at the Flint Board of Education and Center Road Meijer’s.
She leaves to cherish her memory her 2 daughters; Shelby (Cedrick) Ferguson and Jasmine; 2 Grandsons Robert (Ashley) Orr III and Justin Orr; 2 Greatgrandchildren Robert Orr IV and Maia Orr; 3 Sisters Doris Jack, Mildred Riggins, and Nancy Freeman; 5 Brothers Johnny Dykes, Chris Dykes, Grady Dykes Jr., Willie Dykes, and Sentell Dykes , as well as a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Perkins Hodge and Vivian Dykes; sister Lorraine Turks and brother Terry Dykes.

It was with great sadness that I heard of Sister Keys passing. I knew her as a child and remember her with great fondness. She touched my life, and I am blessed to have met such a wonderful person.
Cathy was my first aunt to marry one of my uncles. I spent time with Cathy when u was younger she was like a big sister. I’m sadden by her passing .
