Brian Scott Trim
Brian Scott Trim passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 63.
Born on January 20, 1963, Brian was the kind of person who was happiest when he was working with his hands, out on the road, or spending time around old machinery and good people. He spent over 30 years as an auto mechanic, worked in the motorcycle industry doing repairs and parts sales for 5+ years, and later spent more than a decade transporting RVs across the country, which he truly enjoyed. Brian believed in hard work, fixing things properly, and learning as much as he could along the way.
Outside of work, Brian loved restoring tractors and could often be found at swap meets, auctions, tractor shows, and estate sales. He had an eye for old tools, hidden treasures, and anything with a story behind it. He enjoyed the hunt almost as much as the find, and there wasn’t much he couldn’t repair or bring back to life.
Brian was quiet and private by nature, but the people closest to him knew his sense of humor, his stubborn streak, and his big heart. He was dependable, genuine, and always most comfortable keeping things simple.
Brian is survived by his parents, Clendon R. Trim Jr. and Connie S. Trim; his life partner, Amanda Barber; his brother, Clendon R. Trim III (Regina); his sister, Holly Murphy; his nieces and nephews Ryan Trim (Rachel), Amanda Hackett (Seth), Tyler Yuresko (Brandon), and Austin Trim (Lexi); and his great-niece and great-nephew, Hope and Stanley Hackett.
He will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Detroit Cremation Society, located at 8253 S Saginaw St, Grand Blanc, MI 48439. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Brian’s tribute wall at detroitcremationsociety.com

Very, very sorry for your loss! I hope you can find some comfort in friends, family, and God, we all truly love you.
Became friends in 79,- 87 He was a real good dude, working on all our hot rods, always had a smile on his face. He was always fun to go cruising with, after he left the bike shop I lost contact with him but would always tell stories to new friends of the “stuff” we did growing up, I missed talking to him, I’ll always remember him.
Brian was a friend of mine back in the days of cruising 59, Woodward and Telegraph. I met him by way of my brother, Jim, as they were schoolmates.. I’ll always remember him and his 340 Cuda. It was always Jim, Mark, Dale, and Brian, and if Brian wasn’t around, it just wasn’t the same.. Those were great days I will always cherish.
Many fun nights and times together cruising 59, and wrenching on cars. He was always fun to be around and was a very kind hearted guy. I’ll always remember his laugh, his kindness, and his zest for life, and his 340 Cuda.
My heartfelt condolences go out to his family friends and acquaintances who will miss him.
Will always remember the cars, boats, bikes, trucks, snowmobiles, greasy hands, sweat, many laughs, hunting, fishing, hole shots, but most of all I remember my friend. Many fun times. My heart goes out to the family

Mr. & Mrs. Trim, Ray & Holly.
When my Family, the Justins moved down the street on Redmond in 1976, Scott was the 1st person to reach out and make friendship happen. Scott is Exactly as Described. Lots of anything motorized was in his DNA. I was fortunate to have learned so much, and able to learn hands on from Scott, Ray and your whole loving Family.
My heart is feeling very heavy knowing my Brother from another…. is resting in peace, so soon.
From the Justin(s) Family, to You and Yours, Lord… Hear our Thoughts & Prayers for Heart Felt Healings of our loss, and to reflect upon Brian Scott Trim’s uplifting memmories we all shared.
