Betty Mae Coulter


Age 91, of Flushing, went home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2023. Betty was born on May 22, 1931, in Roopville, Georgia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin and Tommie Lou (Pyles) Gray. She moved to Flint at age 19 to work for General Motors, where she was employed for 34 years. Betty enjoyed sewing, bowling, painting and line dancing in her younger years and after retirement became an avid golfer. She also enjoyed attending her Grandsons sporting events throughout the years and was one of their biggest fans. No one was a stranger to Betty. Her southern charm and warm disposition blessed her with a rich life full of many friendships.

Betty was proceeded in death by both her Parents. Also, her siblings Glenn, Grover, Bobby and Thelma.

She will be deeply missed by her stepsons David (Martha) Coulter and Chris (Karen) Coulter. Her grandchildren Chase (Jillian) Coulter, Colin (Hannah) Coulter and Devin Coulter. Great Grandsons Callahan, Theodore, Franklin, Charles and Nicholas Coulter. Numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends that loved Betty throughout the years.

To honor her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held for family only.
