Age 76, of Grand Blanc, passed away on December 27, 2021. To honor her wishes, cremation has taken place. Barbara Jean Gaines was born on March 1, 1945, in Highland Park, the daughter of Lynn and Mildred (Reese) Shattuck. She retired from Xerox in 2004, after which she worked at the 52/2 District Court. She was involved in various ministries including New Life Christian Fellowship and the River of Grand Blanc.

Surviving Barbara are her two sons; Jerry (Janet Boyce) Gaines, and Kevin (Darlene Wojtowicz) Gaines, grandchildren Kristin (Chris) Small, Jared Gaines, Kyle Gaines, Abby (Brett) Totoraitis, Megan Branch, Great grandchildren Jordan, Miriam, Anna, Graham, Elizabeth, Leah. Brothers Bill (Kathy) Shattuck, Dale (Nancy) Shattuck and Sister Patti Cagle (Rick Austin). Barb is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

A celebration of her life and inurnment will be held at a future date in Oxford Township Cemetery in Oxford, Michigan.
