Barbara Alice Suttles was born on November 17, 1958, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenza and Alice (Dillion) Suttles. Barbara attended Whitehall-Yearling High School, later going on to University of Toledo to further her education.
She worked as a Customer Service Support member in the medical billing field for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music, especially George Strait. She also found joy in dancing, her love for elephants, and spending time with her beloved cats. Barbara lived a very simple life and appreciated the small things. Most of all, she was a loving mother who always supported her son.
Left to cherish her memory is her son: Patrick Johnson (Kelsey); her two brothers: James and wife, Susan Suttles, Robert Suttles; her sister-in-law: Pamela Suttles; her nieces and nephews: Michelle, Angela, Leah, Jennifer, John, J.J.; her close friends: Tonya Thick and Linda Archuleta; as well as many other beloved family members, friends, and furry companions.
Barbara was preceded in passing by her parents: Lorenza and Alice Suttles; her two brothers: David Suttles, Ronald Suttles; her sister-in-law: Becky Suttles; and her feline companion: Koda.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Heartland Hospice, the staff at Maplewoods Manor, facility nurse Jocelyn, and Patrick’s father, Tim Johnson, for the care and compassion provided during this difficult time.

To my lifelong friend, enjoy the afterlife.
Dance with everyone like we used to and give me a kick once in awhile to let me know you kicked up your heels.
Forever my friend,
Laura Jones ❤️❤️
My memories of Barb are from years ago, but when I picture our times together, all I see is laughter. We had so much fun together. I didn’t talk with her very often but we always picked up from wherever we left off. I will truly miss this kind soul. Hugs of peace to you, Patrick.
