Alfred G. Weston


Age 90, of Holly, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025 in Clarkston, Michigan.

Alfred was born on January 12, 1935 in New York, New York, to Mr. and Mrs. Leon and Madeline (Wolf) Weston. Al lived a life defined by family, friends, community and a love for the outdoors.

A graduate of Madison high school, Al was a stand out athlete who carried his passion for sports throughout his life. He loved watching his sons compete and was always their greatest supporter. An avid fisherman, he found peace and happiness casting a line, he especially treasured camping at Higgins Lake South State Park for family vacations every summer.

Dedicated to the Hazel Park community, Al served for many years on the Hazel Park School Board of Education, where his leadership and care left a lasting mark. His warmth, humor and devotion to family, and friends will be remembered by all who knew him.

Al is survived by his children; Al (Lori), Susan (Mike), Dean (Tracy), Steve (Michelle); his twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom were his greatest pride and joy.

Al was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Madeline (Austin), his parents; Leon and Madeline Mary (Wolf) Weston, his brother; Leon Weston, and his loving son; Randy who passed on February 6, 2024.

Al’s family held a private memorial for Al, on July 5, 2025, on Higgins Lake, in Michigan, where his memory will live on forever.
