Age, 62, of Flint, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026. A funeral service will take place at 2:30 pm, Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Detroit Cremation Society, 8253 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, MI. 48439. Steven Gaddy officiating with cremation to follow. Terry’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 2:30 pm. Terry Ray Prewitt was born on May 28, 1963, in Flint, Michigan. He was the beloved son of the late Linda Prewitt and Andrew Anderson Sr. Terry fellowshipped at Greater Grace of God Ministries and attended Flint Northern High School. Throughout his life, Terry worked in several roles, including restaurant worker, certified nursing assistant, and youth supervisor. He was known for his love of sports, his playful trash talking, and the joy he found in spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife: JoAnn Jackson; his children: Terriya Raynia-Prewitt Wright (Steve), Terry J. Prewitt, Tazhia (Jemeriah) Dickerson, Naffesa Gaddy, AnQuan Gaddy, DonTrel Gaddy, DaNika Jackson, and DaMesha Jackson; his brother:  Andrew Anderson Jr.; his sisters: Felicia Anderson, Tonya Prewitt-Veal; his special cousin: Rudy Wright; his special friends: Lamont Jackson, Cedrick Artis, Barbers, Terry Knapp, and Steve Wright; and many beloved extended family and friends. 

Terry was preceded in death by: his parents, Linda and Andrew; Tanisha Prewitt, Raymone Prewitt, Theopolis Smith, DaMesha Jackson, Linda Prewitt, Melvin Summers, Mildred Prewitt, and Thelma Prewitt.

Terry’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Flint Paramedics, ICU nurses at Hurley Medical Center on the 4th floor, DaVita Dialysis in Mt. Morris, and last but not least the Greater Grace of God Ministries family.
