Age 85, died on December 4, 2019, at Ascension Genesys Hospital, with his family by his side. In accordance with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Bill born in Royal Oak on April 23, 1934, to William and Christine (Hirt) Bales. In 1954, Bill would marry the love of his life, Roberta Ann Fredrickson on Thanksgiving weekend. Heeding the call to serve his county, Bill proudly served in the military as a missile tester. He loved fishing and being with his family. Bill was a quality craftsman, who loved to build dream homes for people.

William is survived by his daughter: Cheryl and husband, Roy Gramer, two grandsons: Jordan Bales, and Tim and wife, Jessica Cissney, great-granddaughter, Emma Bales, and daughter-in-law, Ellen.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, and his three sons Gary, Brian, and infant son Kyle.
