Ronald (Ron) Kyle Collins
Ronald (Ron) Kyle Collins reached the end of his beautiful life on July 23, 2023 at the age of 72, surrounded by his beloved family. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Ronald’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.
He was born on December 3, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan and was one of eight children. As a young adult, he proudly served in the US Army and fought on the frontlines of the Vietnam War. Following the dedication to his country, he joined his father in the SAAB business and operated Trio Motors, Inc. for many years alongside his family members. He would eventually move on to work at Midnight Burglar Alarm Systems for 10 years.
In addition to his passion for cars, Ron enjoyed traveling, spending time upnorth at the Collins family cabin (the Moose Lodge), attending Renaissance festivals, eating good food, listening to his favorite tunes, and most of all spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a gentle soul, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
Ron fought a courageous battle with cancer. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his father Dale Collins, mother Kathryn Johnson Collins, brother Norman Collins, sister Beverly Collins, and granddaughter Jacy Rae Luce. He is survived by his devoted wife Kae Maxwell Collins, three children: Christal (David) Rembowski of Grand Blanc; Stacy (Jackson) Luce of Sandpoint, Idaho; and Lindsey Grover (Vince Strange) of Grand Blanc, along with seven grandchildren Robert, Gage, Tyler, Hannah, Dylan, Brighton, and Ember.
He also leaves behind his siblings Jerry (Guy) VanDerLaag, Kathy (Bob) Kranz, Roger (Sue) Collins, Rick (Tara) Collins, Robert (Debra) Collins, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. There was nothing more important to him than family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. At Ron’s request, arrangements for a celebration of his life are being made and will take place at a later date.

Dear Kae, I am so sorry for your loss of you breoved Ron. I never knew or met him, but following you on FB, I could see that he was such a wonderful man. Praying for you & your family.
Dear Collins Family, we are very sorry for your loss. We were neighbors in Riverbend West way back when all our children were little. We certainly had a lot of fun together. Halloween was a highlight! Ron always had a smile on his face, particularly when speaking about his children, of whom he was immensely proud. He was also proud of his service, although he didn’t talk about it much. We hadn’t seen him in many years, however, that does not diminish the memory of what a great neighbor and friend he was. Please accept our sincere condolences.

Judy and I send our deepest sympathies Ron taught me many lessons in life. And always had a smile for you. Your concerns were his concerns he always made your conversations about you with genuine intensity. My time at trio motors was not as long as I would have hoped but everyday was an adventure and I reflect on those memories with extreme fondness and gratitude. I’m a much better Man for knowing the Collins family bye Ron you will be missed.
