Age 62, of Flint, passed away on November 13, 2023. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Robert’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

Robert Dale Houghteling was born on August 6, 1961, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale and Brenda (Cook) Houghteling. Robert was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States National Guard, in which he was a combat medic for six years. Robert had a welding degree, and held various management titles in the Flint and Lapeer areas.

Robert is survived by his mother; Brenda Larkam, his son; Kyle Houghteling, and fiancé, Autumn,  his brother; Larry Houghteling, his sister; Kimberly Houghteling, his eight grandchildren, and several cousins, family, and friends around the Michigan area.

Robert is preceded in death by his father, Dale Houghteling, his brother; Kent Houghteling, his daughter; Jessica Speer (Houghteling).
