Maurice Durbin Jr., affectionately known as Bud, passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 62. He was born on August 17, 1961, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and most recently resided in Flint, MI.

Maurice had a passion for drawing and loved sharing his memories through his stories. He was also a proud military veteran, having served his country. He enjoyed telling those stories and had a favorite motto, “Hoorah!!”

As a professional painter, Maurice made a mark in his career, showcasing his talent and creativity. However, his true pride and joy came from his role as a loving spouse to Samantha Ray and a devoted father to his children, Haili Durbin and Breeze Winn (Durbin), as well as his stepchildren Katherine Smith and Wayne Ray. Maurice also leaves behind loved grandchildren. Rainah, Makina, Iliah, Abigal, Navarro and Jennifer

Maurice’s impact on others was immeasurable. Known for his kind soul and generous nature, he would give the shirt off his back to help those in need. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In memory of Maurice Durbin Jr., a cremation will take place.
