Age 78, of Grand Blanc, died Monday, November 1, 2021, at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 16, 2021, at the Church of the Holy Family, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, 48439. Rev. Fr. Joseph Krupp will officiate. The family will receive guests at the church from 9:00 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Church of the Holy Family. Diane was born April 6, 1943, in Detroit, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Mary (Curley) Hunt. Diane’s career path would lead her to the healthcare industry, where she worked as a nursing assistant. She provided care to those in need at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak for 38 years before she retired in 2010. Following retirement, Diane continued her healthcare calling by providing home health care in Grayling, later settling in Grand Blanc, where she spent much of her time assisting in distributing holy communion in the community.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children; Thomas and wife, Jill Carpenter, Timothy and wife, Jennifer Carpenter, three grandchildren; Austin and wife, Katlyn Carpenter, Max Carpenter, Camryn Carpenter, one great-grandchild; Kane Ryan Carpenter, and four siblings; Brian Hunt, Thomas and wife Jan Hunt, Mickey Hunt and partner Judi Sander, and Patrick Hunt.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; Thomas and Mary (Curley) Hunt, brother; Don, and wife, Iris Hunt, sister; Maureen, and husband, James Rentz, sister-in-law; Jean Hunt.
