Age 68, of Davisburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

Mark Alan LaPlante was born on June 20, 1957 in Pontiac, Michigan. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick and Joyce (Loeffler) LaPlante.

Mark was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He loved to fish, canoe, hunt, and ride motorcycles. He loved the outdoors and often went camping in Oscoda and several other campgrounds with his family years ago. He loved to show off the tie-dye shirts that his daughters made for him. Mark was always the funny guy, cracking jokes and making people laugh. He also had several pets that he cherished very much.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters: Samantha (Tiffany) LaPlante and Rachel (Alex) LaPlante, his two granddaughters: Skylar and Caroline, his brother: Dale (Gayle) LaPlante, his sister: Sandy LaPlante, and sister-in-law: Crystal LaPlante, his Aunts: JoAnne Powers and Vicki LaPlante, many nieces and nephews (Sabrina, Shawn, BreAnne, Melanie, Steven, Jami, and Cody), several great nieces and nephews, and his chosen daughter: Sarah Reusch.

He will be missed dearly by his many loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his mother Joyce, father Frederick, and brother Michael LaPlante.

A celebration of life will be held by his family at a later date.
