John Wilbur Myers Jr. was born on April 18, 1963, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Gladys (Bentley) Myers Sr. John was a firefighter for the City of Burton for 26 years until he retired in 2012. He worked for Dolly Madison, Canteen Services and Leisure Lake. John worked at Perani Arena & Event Center mainly to watch the Flint Generals play some hockey! When his daughters were younger he was their Girl Scout leader. John was very social and talked to everyone. He treated everyone as a friend or family. He loved to pick on people and loved when they picked on him! He was always helping someone out when they needed it. John loved Leisure Lake, his home away from home! He loved going on trips up north with family and friends. He loved watching the Red Wings, the Lions, the Tigers and UofM football. We know he’s going to be sitting with his dad and daughter watching the lions win the Super Bowl! At the visitation if you have one please wear a Red Wings, Lions, Tigers or Wolverine shirt in honor of my dad’s favorite teams!
