Age 61, of Hale, passed away on August 31, 2023. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on John’s Tribute Wall at detroitcremationsociety.com.

John Howard Grinnell was born on October 22, 1961, in Lapeer, Michigan, the Son of Margaret and Howard Grinnell.

John is survived by his Fiance Debbie Segar Schwanbeck of Hale. Sisters, Pamela Green of Hale, Rebecca Burrows of Flint. Brother, Greg Teachout of HoughtonLake. He had 3 children Heather Grinnell McArdle of Ubly, Kathy Grinnell Worden of Fostoria and Carrie Grinnell Kellogg of Lapeer. He also had a Granddaughter KD, whom he was very close to. He had a total of 11 grandkids and 7 Great Grandchildren. Three Special friends, Steve Fenslau, Freddie Colosky and Bill Smith. He enjoyed singing, was very patriotic. Loved family and friends.

John is preceded in death by his Mother, Margaret Grinnell and Father, Howard Grinnell. Along with a Brother, Robert Teachout.

A Celebration of Life will be September 23, 2023 from 1-4 in Hale at the Community Building.Those who can we would like you to bring a dish to pass.
