Age 63, of Clarkston, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will take place at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Detroit Cremation Society, 8253 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Family will be present to receive friends from 2:00 pm until the time of the service at 4:00 pm.

Born on July 21, 1961, in Pontiac, Michigan, John was a gifted musician and artist. His passion for creativity was evident in the music and lyrics he wrote, as well as the vibrant posters he designed to promote his band’s performances. John’s artistry and love for music left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is lovingly survived by his twin brother, James; his sisters, Sharon Vance and Teresa Richards; and his mother, Jo Kurlonko.

John was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Chadwick; and his grandparents, Margaret and Joseph Wilhelm, and William and Florence Ulrich.

John will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his creativity, warmth, and the joy he brought to others through his art and music.
