Jennifer “Jenny” Nowak

Jennifer “Jenny” was a loving mother, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly on May 8th, 2023 at age 50; only 35 days after her mother passed. Jennifer Irene Nowak was born on January 21st, 1973, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Leonard F. Nowak Jr. and Pamela “Penny” I. Nowak. She graduated from Clio High and raised one daughter:  Emma.

Jenny loved her family, especially her daughter Emma.  Jenny wasn’t wealthy but she always helped others whenever possible. She gave to the homeless and helped friends in need. She was a single mother that did all she could to raise and provide a home for her daughter.

At her request, no service will be held. A party in her honor will be held on June 3rd. If you wish to make a memorial donation in her honor, please donate to the GoFundMe page titled “A Single Mother’s Last Wish for Her Daughter” for the benefit of her daughter Emma.

Jenny is survived by her daughter Emma Cobanovich, father Leonard Nowak Jr., step-mother Diane Nowak, brother Leonard (Jessica) Nowak III, aunts, uncles and many cousins, a nephew and a niece.

Jenny is preceded in death by her recently passed mother Pamela I. Nowak. There will be a joint celebration of life on Saturday June 3rd in Genesee, MI.  If anyone is interested in attending, please email Len Nowak at len3nowak@yahoo.com for further details.

Jenny’s obituary was written by her loving family.

I am so sorry Emma and Leonard and family, my heart is broken. I met Jenny at Bavarian inn when we were teenagers and we stayed in touch off and on for years. Jenny always knew how to make me laugh and I have lots of fond memories of her. She is missed . Sending love and prayers.

My heart goes out to the family. I also meet Jen at the Bavarian inn. She was an amazing and good person. Always concerned about others. There are countless memories from going out after work to riding her jet ski. Always part a pivotal part of the group and a solid shoulder to cry on. Truly hurt and saddened knowing she is no longer here. God and heaven welcomed a good soul. She is missed.
